Transcript – How To Connect With Your Authentic Self – A Guided Meditation
Hello and welcome, everyone, today’s How to Connect With Your Authentic Self meditation. Today, this meditation will help you to align with your most authentic self. It will help you to embody authenticity in your life and guide you on How to Connect With Your Authentic Self. And it will support you to let go of. Of any masks or conditionings that may be keeping you in a state of inauthenticity that are keeping you out of authenticity. So, to begin, close your eyes and bring your awareness inward. Feel your body wherever it may be at this time. Notice any thoughts in your mind. Notice any feelings in your body, and notice any emotions that may be present at this time. And take three deep breaths into your heart, centering yourself in your heart space. If you’d like, you can place one hand on your heart to bring deeper awareness to this beautiful place of love and joy and peace.
And please keep your eyes closed for the remainder of this meditation, continuing to breathe deeply. I’m going to ask you a number of questions. As I ask these questions, do your best to witness the answers that arise within yourself. Witness them with neutrality, with compassion, with love, free of judgment. The answers may come as a thought. The answers may come as a mental image, a memory, a physical sensation or an emotion. However it arises naturally is perfect for you. So imagine what it feels like to be inauthentic. What does it feel like to be inauthentic? What does it feel like to be dishonest, to wear a mask, to be fake or out of alignment? Imagine it, see it, feel it. Allow yourself to experience any and all discomfort related to being inauthentic in your life.
As you feel this, what do you notice inside of yourself? What happens inside of yourself? What happens inside of your body? Notice any resistance or fear to feel this. Know that you are safe, that we won’t stay here much longer. And so, take a deep breath. Let all of that go now. Now. What does it feel like to be authentic? What does it feel like to be in alignment with your authentic self? What does it feel like to be truthful and honest and loving and authentic? Feel that. See that? Imagine that. Now, what happens inside of yourself when you feel all of this? What happens inside of your body when you feel all this beautiful authenticity? Take a deep breath. Breathe that into yourself. And now let all of that go.
And now, taking a deep breath into your heart, we’re going to go back to being inauthentic. What does it feel like to be inauthentic? Really feel it. Who are you when you’re inauthentic? Dredge up those feelings. Feel the misalignment. Feel any fear, angst, Resistance. Allow yourself to just feel that and just observe it. What does it feel like to be inauthentic and out of integrity? Allow that to move through you. Notice that as you just witness it and allow it, any and all negativity loses its power over you. And notice what happens inside of yourself, what goes on within your inner world when you feel all of these things, all of this inauthenticity? And can you love yourself regardless? Take a deep breath now. Let all of that go. Release it. Take a deep breath. Release it. Let it go. Coming back to authenticity.
What does it feel like to be fully authentic? To be your most true, natural, unique, weird, loving, joyful self? What does it feel like to be authentic? Imagine yourself as the shining light that you are, this radiant, unique, beautiful soul. What does that feel like? Put all of your attention on any feelings, thoughts, images, visualizations. Allow them to fill you now. And what do you notice? What happens inside of yourself when you align with your most authentic self? Taking a deep breath. Breathing all that goodness in. Now coming back to center and back to inauthenticity. Feel inauthenticity. Invite that energy back. Notice. Has it gotten weaker, stronger, stayed the same? What does it feel like to be inauthentic? Dredge it up. Bring it up. Invite it in. Lovingly witnessing it. And now ask yourself, who is it that is inauthentic?
And How to Connect With Your Authentic Self and with the part of yourself that is inauthentic. The part of your ego, the part of your mind. You may feel it as a part of your body. You may see it as an image, as an aspect of self. Who is it that is inauthentic? Who is it that is inauthentic? And can you love this part of yourself? Can you give this part of yourself love and compassion? So allow yourself to hold this aspect of yourself. Love it. I love you. I love you. I love you. Repeating that to yourself, to this aspect of yourself. And notice how it shifts and changes you. Love it. And presence it. Now let that go. Let that part of yourself go. Let that image fade away. Take a deep breath. Coming back to center. And now feel authenticity again. Feel that presence, that radiance, that love.
Feel authenticity. What does it feel like to be authentic? What does it feel like to be truthful, honest, courageous and authentic? And who is it that is authentic? Who is it that is authentic? Ask yourself this. Connect with this part of yourself that is authentic? Who is it that is authentic? Now let that authentic part of yourself grow as you place your awareness on this part of yourself that is authentic. Allow it to grow and expand and fill you. Feel this part of yourself fill your entire body. Body with its authentic, genuine, loving, truthful qualities. And allow yourself to become authentic. Allow yourself to be authentic and notice how good it feels. Notice how natural it feels. Notice how right it feels. This is the way it’s supposed to be.
Taking a deep breath and breathing all this authenticity into all the aspects of yourself, all the parts of yourself embodying this authenticity. Feel it in your heart. Now hold an intention to bring this into the rest of your day, into the rest of your week, into the rest of your life. Hold an intention that you’ll continue to come back to this memory, this experience, this feeling, this flavor of authenticity as you live your life. Taking one last deep breathing into the heart, placing one hand on your heart, coming back to this beautiful space, opening your eyes. And that completes our meditation.
