It is my sacred place of refuge.
It is where I take my hidden pain and difficulties…
And my greatest joys and celebrations.
When I am stuck and struggling, the Truth always sets me free.
It forver guides me deeper and higher… To greater levels of Love and Freedom.
Truth lets me off the hook… Yet it also holds me accountable. It never misses a beat.
When I need Truth, I look to God… Nature… and the centre of my being.
I also look to my brothers and elders.
As men, we need other men who are willing to sharpen their swords, and bring Truth.
This calls us in and forward. Sometimes it stings… But it always sets us free.
This is a big part of the Equanimous Man, our Online Men’s Circle. We call each other in and forward, to create deeper freedom and love.
Recently I had an experience where I slipped out of integrity…
I made an agreement that I was unable to uphold. I felt guilt and shame around it, so I brought it the men’s circle.
With love, the circle offered reflections and Truths that I didn’t want to hear…
By the end, I had clarity on how to bring this into right relation.
I needed to have some hard conversations.
I didn’t want to. But that’s the exact moment I knew I needed to…
Resistance and fear, especially when faced with Truth, is a sign to lean in…
And do the hard thing.
So I did.
it set me free, so I could forgive myself… And come back into right relations with my own heart.
I came back to Truth.
