This is highly vulnerable… It’s opening the deepest parts of one’s self, naked. Anything can happen. We could be rejected… Ridiculed… Laughed at… Or manipulated. This is the risk. The stakes are high.
Yet we can also be seen, loved and cherished like never before. My good friend Kirby describes it best… Without intimacy and authenticity, everyone will like us, but few (or even none) will truly love us. Vulnerability is worth the risk; it’s a magic key that opens the door to love.
