The other day I was speaking with my elder, and he said something that really struck me…
“If a man wants to walk through life with a woman, he needs to know Surrender…
Real men know how to surrender…”
It seems contrary… Isn’t surrender a feminine teaching?
At the same time, I loved hearing this…
Because I have spent the last 6 years in a deep daily practice of surrender.
Surrender makes me more of a man…?!
But it’s true. Women are more powerful than men. They bring life into this world.
Because they are life-givers, women are actually 13x more powerful than men…
This naturally triggers the uninitiated and unintegrated parts of a male’s psyche…
When a man is in this immature masculine, he is:
- Competitive
- Insecure, needing to be above others
- Believes control is power
- Serves his ego above God
- Seeks to dominate or control relationships
- Disconnected from intuition and heart
- Needs to constantly prove his worth, never feeling good enough
When the power of the feminine arises, within and around him, this shadow masculine will be illuminated…
His fears, insecurities, and shadows begin to surface…
And he tries to control, dominate, and shut down.
This is the opposite of surrender…
Surrender is about letting go of control.
But a man’s surrender is not about surrendering to a woman…
It’s about surrendering his ego’s need for control, domination, and power to the Creator.
Then he can reside in deep presence and equanimity, because he is serving a higher power…
This presence can only be sourced from consciousness… and it gives permission for a woman to be her complete, authentic, and big self.
This is how we, as men, can return to a right relationship with women.
When you fully surrender your life to God, you know Love… When you know love, you will cherish and respect women.
You will become a safe and trustworthy space for women of this world, because you no longer want to take…
You want to serve, provide and give.
